Seen here are Alan Woods, past Chairman of Arundel & Littlehampton Branch, with Reg Snewin on his right (as viewed) sitting recently on the replacement Royal Sussex Bench in Worthing, which has just been restored; thanks going to Worthing Borough Council for the refurbishment. The original bench had disappeared without trace some time ago. The pictures below show Arundel branch members present at the unveiling of the replacement bench in August 2011 and are from Left to Right (as viewed) Reg Snewin, Michael Tees – seated, Arthur Gander – Standard Bearer, Michael Howes, Alan Woods – seated, and Jack White. The middle photograph is a close-up of the bench’s plaque, and to the right is an image dating from 2009 where Col. Roderick Arnold leads the Association through Worthing commemorating 50 years of The Regiment being given the Freedom of the Borough.
