On a cold November’s day six members of Chichester Branch were introduced to the cadets training area at Crowborough. Arriving at 0930 hrs they were given a tour of the new on-site facilities enjoyed by the cadets. A demonstration of drill was given and after lunch a trip was taken into the depths of the training ground where one group of cadets laid an ambush for a motorised second group, successfully invoking a retreat. It is obvious in both the enthusiasm shown by the cadets and the dedication of their adult supervisors that here was an example of very positive mentoring in action.
